Toby

Toby was quite an old boy when he broke his elbow – this is a very fiddly surgery to get the bones to go back together with perfect accuracy (to prevent arthritis from developing).

The fracture was repaired with a screw across the joint and a small plate to stop it from rotating. Despite his age, Toby recovered extraordinarily quickly and this video was him walking around the consulting room just a couple of weeks after the surgery.
